Symphony of Peace Prayers, What they Said!

A few sharing from friends who have held and or participated in a Symphony of Peace Prayers

 I feel that the SOPP is not just an interfaith event. It is a magical act of creation. During an SOPP ceremony, I have the sense that we are creating a new way of seeing the world, a new way of thinking of ourselves in relation to others, and I know that this powerful vibration of oneness is actually changing the planet and myself. Uruguay 

 I feel a deep happiness and a sensation of immense peace and light surrounding us. Infinite love, infinite light, infinite peace, infinite unity and infinite happiness define for me this wonderful gathering. Argentina 

 SOPP is a magnificent event for all humanity because everyone from every culture and country in the world is welcome to send prayers of peace.  It is the vehicle of networking all mankind to unify in the belief that PEACE can occur on this planet, through the power and energy of peace prayers. I firmly believe that deep within the heart of every human lies an inherent true desire for peace and harmony.  What better way to make this desire manifest that to use the strength of our words together with people from around the world to say the words May Peace Prevail on Earth in every language and for every country of the world.

As a global event, SOPP is a celebration of interfaith cooperation in PRAYING for world PEACE. It brings global concern, into local, grassroots people, who creates space for UNITY, Love, Harmony, HOPE and Peace. The Philippines

7th Symphony of Peace Prayers Fuji Sanctuary, May 22nd

The 7th Symphony of Peace Prayers at Fuji Sanctuary Japan, brought together a magnificent energy of peace, of love and deep heart connection. The joy of being together linked in spirit and united in our earnest desire for world peace with the tens of thousands of people from around the world, was immense. In unison, our prayers for peace, shared by the various faiths representatives and intoned by the participants, resonated across the prayer field, heartfelt and joyful at the same time, filled with many emotions, all mixed into one.

A feeling that something is shifting in the world and that 'the time has arrived' for a new paradigm on earth to anchor itself, where spirit will lead the way, was shared by everyone. Naturally, the speeches by the various speakers reflected the events of March 11th which shook Japan and the world, all people present having experienced it first hand, and how these events are already affecting the whole planet. 

The prayers were of a deep intensity, filled with joyful beauty and serenity. As they left the sanctuary, many people felt that SOPP this year had entered a new phase, it was different and it was very very special.

May Peace Prevail on Earth ! In gratitude to all the people who joined in this Symphony of Peace Prayers, in gratitude to the earth and all living things.

What is Symphony of Peace Prayers ?

The Symphony of Peace Prayers (SOPP) is an inter religious, interspiritual annual peace prayer event, first held in 2005 at Fuji Sanctuary in Japan. At the core of this event is its unique prayer ceremony, in which representatives from various world faiths and spiritual traditions lead participants in their own prayers for peace. People can join in any of the prayers offered, as well they are invited to actively take part in the World Peace Prayer Ceremony, honoring each country on earth with a prayer for peace and happiness and with a beautiful display of the world nations' flags. Each year, the SOPP continues to expand to more and more corners of the globe, sending waves of peace, harmony, and light throughout humanity.

SOPP May 22nd at Fuji Sanctuary: Welcoming address by Mrs Masami Saionji

The following is an excerpt from Masami Saionji welcoming address for SOPP 2011 at Fuji Sanctuary. Mrs Saionji is Chairperson of the Byakko Shinko Kai, she initiated the Symphony of Peace Prayers in 2005. 

' With today’s ceremony, we are sending out prayers based in this universal awareness that all is one. With its theme of ‘celebrating the oneness of humanity, its cultural and religious diversity,’ the SOPP invites participants to pray with one voice the peace prayers of different faiths and spiritual traditions, sending a beautiful, harmonized energy throughout the world. This energy, born from our shared prayers, has a direct influence on people and countries across the globe, and on all life on Earth.

This is because our glorious prayers of universal consciousness awaken the divinity inherent in every living being, causing them to co-resonate with one another in a high-dimensional exchange of energy.

Through the prayers we are offering at today’s SOPP, the power and energy of our individual words and thoughts is concentrated, appealing to humanity’s collective consciousness and creating great waves of peace in the world. These waves originate not only at Fuji Sanctuary, but also at the local SOPP ceremonies and prayer gatherings being held at this very moment in many places around the world. As our prayers merge with theirs, the energy of love, healing, peace, and evolution is multiplied and enhanced.'

The 7th Symphony of Peace Prayers, MAY 22nd

Thanks to the wholehearted support of many people throughout the world, the planning of the 7th annual SOPP is going well. To be able to hold this ceremony at Fuji Sanctuary and worldwide, despite the many recent events in Japan, is our heartfelt wish and is a true joy.

Our deep gratitude goes to all our friends worldwide, who are organizing local grass roots events, both large and small, and this on each continent.

At a time when things on our planet are becoming extremely complex, and many people are at a loss as of what to do; such gatherings of universal prayers for peace, in joyful, festive environments, are a wonderful opportunity to Do something concrete with others, to participate in a worldwide circle of of peace, which will have far reaching positive effects on the whole planet and its course of events. 

SOPP gatherings aim at the peace and the happiness of each and every people on earth,it brings together the various faiths and traditions in sharing their prayers for peace and unlimited openness, as one body of love, we have the opportunity to express gratitude to our sacred earth and all its Life.

Report of Symphony of Peace Prayers 2010, May 16

On May 16, thousands of peace-loving people at Fuji Sanctuary and around the world joined in lending their hearts and voices to the sixth annual Symphony of Peace Prayers.

Since its inception in 2005, the SOPP has grown into a worldwide grassroots movement for peace, interfaith harmony, and the evolution of humanity’s consciousness. This year, in addition to the large-scale ceremony held at Fuji Sanctuary, local SOPP ceremonies and various global link gathering were held in more than 50 countries around the world.
