The following is an excerpt from the opening speech, by Masami Saionji, Chairperson of Byakko Shinko Kai.
Good Morning and welcome to all of you. We celebrate our fourth Symphony of Peace Prayers today as a result of your noble mission and your continued support. I thank you wholeheartedly. No matter what religious tradition you may belong to, and no matter what spiritual practices you honor, participants of the SOPP are able to transcend religious differences to offer prayers of various religious faiths and traditions with united hearts. By respecting, acknowledging, and honoring each other’s traditions, creed, and rituals, we are able to resonate in absolute oneness through our united prayers.
Together we are able to remove the walls of religious separation, confrontation, and hostility. The aim and vision of the SOPP is to manifest a coherent resonance of Light created through our united prayers. Together we can shed the fixed ideas held by humanity toward various religious traditions which have been locked into place over time. We will not destroy the old ways; neither will we criticize, blame, or deny them. We will shift instead from an out-dated consciousness to one of radiance. Together we will elevate and take flight from an earthbound consciousness to a consciousness that embraces the universe.
World peace is not created by a handful of wise men, presidents, scientists, or individuals in power. World peace is created by the accumulation of high dimensional consciousness held by each one of us—a consciousness which loves, chooses, and creates peace. By transcending differences in religious tradition, rituals, and creed, you are truly creating in unison a resonance of light through united prayers. It is our noble and sacred mission to manifest a brilliant future for humanity, for the earth, and for the future of the universe.
Let us today, in unison, continue to manifest a resonance of light through the Symphony of Peace Prayers.
I thank you very much.
